Can you imagine paying for the air you breathe? In a shocking Telegraph article, it’s been revealed that China is and has been buying bottles of fresh air from Canada (and other places too). The Canadian company, Vanity Air was founded last year by Moses Lam, who said that he actually started it as a joke but has since seen it in high demand with China. A 7 litre can of fresh air can sell for around £10…

An estimated 500,000 people die every year in China as a result of pollution.

As we have seen with the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, legends choose not to feel powerless about these global issues. They actually work harder to succeed, to be more affluent, to earn more, to have a greater network, so that they can then go on to help resolve critical issues they’re passionate about. Do we have to wait until we are millionaires until we can help others? Not really….Maisie Hymers is a shining example of giving no matter how wealthy you are. At just 8-years-old, she saved up £400 to buy toys for sick children in Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, UK.

As The Huffington Post reported,

One of the recipients of the toys is two-year-old George O’Shaughnessy, who was diagnosed with leukaemia last year.

His dad said it was “overwhelming” to see a random stranger do “such a lovely thing”.

While legends with high net-worth are known for their generosity, Maisie Hymes and so many other children like her can teach us that we are naturally wired to give, help and make a difference no matter how big or small. It is the very fabric of a legend and ironically always provides them with more abundance in their own lives!

This week, inc.com published a great article on how to use stress to not only achieve more, but to bring teams together. It may sound strange, but as author Shawn Achor explains…

“Behind every stressor–even a never-ending slog with your inbox–there’s an opportunity for you to develop aspects of your potential, such as patience, endurance, and efficiency.”

Mr. Achor is helping us see what legends know; that in every stressful situation, we are challenged to step up and re-define our expectations of ourselves. Legends know they can always do better.

The author goes on to say that stress can, “inspire and train team leaders to help their teams see stressors as a meaningful group challenge.”

Again, legends know how hard it is to try and be Superman and take on a challenge by themselves! All true solutions come from working with others…and when a group of people can overcome a challenge by working together, it bonds them and makes the relationships far stronger to take on greater challenges. Through history we have seen this in World War II and more recently amidst terrible situations in Syria and Paris, people have found hope in coming together. Read the full article here…
