What does it take to make such a mark on history that you change the quality of untold millions of people’s lives, both today and in the future? Heck of a question, but it can be answered by the most legendary of American Presidents; Abraham Lincoln.

Perhaps Lincoln’s most crowning achievement was getting the American Constitution amended in order to abolish slavery at the height of the Civil War. A highly controversial and contested campaign at the time and something which led Lincoln to face untold pressure, criticism and opposition from all sides. The greater our goals in life, the more adversity we may face to achieve them. However when you believe in something so passionately – and know the cost of not achieving it so clearly – you will find the strength, tenacity and resilience to push through.
