It’s Here! Boyan Slat Launches First Ocean Cleanup System

The first system from The Ocean Cleanup, the company formed by Boyan Slat to clean up the ocean of plastics has launched and has begun the process of cleaning the ocean.

‘System 001’ was launched in mid-November 2018 and for a real-time update on its position and a timeline of what’s going on with the system – like how well this full-scale prototype is working – check out this link.

This hasn’t just happened. The Ocean Cleanup as a company was founded in 2013 and there were several more years of work for Mr Slat to build his team and get to that starting line. What this moment has proven is that if you have a vision for your life, don’t expect it to come immediately, but it will come if (and this is a big ‘if’) you have the ability to bring the right people together. Otherwise, The Ocean Cleanup or any other vision someone my have, will reman a dream.
