Lewis Hamilton On Bouncing Back | Is An HIV Cure Close? | Bill Clinton Keeps The President Waiting! – Legends Report

It was a perfect weekend. Lewis Hamilton had qualified on pole for the Malaysian Grand Prix. He was in a commanding lead in the race with 20 laps to go. He seemed untouchable, and on course to wrestle back the championship lead from his team-mate Nico Rosberg. Then…

His engine blew up.

He was understandably distraught as he had done everything right, and the usually reliable Mercedes engines had powered 8 other cars on the grid successfully.

Sometimes we can face defeat and failure in the unlikeliest of circumstances, and a visibly upset Lewis Hamilton took a while to get over the disappointment…however, he then penned a message on his Facebook page – a good reminder for all of us in the down times…

“Today, the pain is indescribable, but I truly believe God never gives you more than you can handle. I want to say a huge thank you to the fans who stood on their feet in the blazing hot sun, or from their sofas at home, watching and supporting me this weekend. I’m so grateful. I have 100% faith in my team, they have worked so hard both at the track, and factory, and I want to say a HUGE thank you to them. I know we’ve had all these problems but it’s not how we fall, it’s how we get up. It’s not how we are in moments of comfort than define us, but how we are in the face of adversity. We are champions and that’s how we will move forward. I will, we will, NEVER give up!”

HIV is a disease that affects millions around the world, however, we may be closer to a cure for this stubborn disease than ever. A British man taking part in an experimental trial has become the first person to have the disease completely wiped from his blood!

The treatment has involved a team of scientists from over 5 universities, working together. This is yet another example that the best solutions to the biggest problems we face, come from working together with others:

“This is one of the first serious attempts at a full cure for HIV,” said Mark Samuels, managing director of the National Institute for Health Research Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure.

“We are exploring the real possibility of curing HIV. This is a huge challenge and it’s still early days but the progress has been remarkable.”

It really is wonderful to see breakthroughs like this, and it’s a powerful reminder that by working together, human beings have the potential to solve both the largest and the smallest problems we face. Read more on this story here…
