Barack Obama may be about to leave office soon, but the current US President seems more at ease and relaxed than ever. Perhaps it’s due to the fact he isn’t running in a crazy carnival of an election. 🙂
This week he welcomed US Olympians to the White House and in particular praised the contribution of female athletes. This year the US had more women competing in events than any other country!
Being a father of two girls himself, he has always campaigned for more equality between men and women and it’s fantastic to see him doing it in such a funny and light-hearted way in the video below. Enjoy!

One can only imagine the hell that is going on in Aleppo in Syria right now. Bombings from airstrikes and shortages of water, food and medicine are taking a terrible toll on the men women and children living in the beseiged city.
There is a brave band of ordinary rescue workers – known as the “White Helmets,” who are trying to stem the seemingly never-ending onslaught of bloodshed. They are usually the first to arrive at the scene of an attack to help the victims. It is difficult for many of us who live such comfortable lives to comprehend their courage and bravery.
This weekend, one rescue worker in particular reached breaking- point, after rescuing a one-month-old baby alive from the rubble. I struggle to watch this and not well up myself, as I cannot imagine what this everyday legend has seen or had to deal with; and that even amongst so much carnage, we see him being so thankful to have saved one life.
Watch the video below. It’s a humbling reminder of the suffering going on in our world right now… and a call for all of us to appreciate our own lives more.
